The Fourth Wave of Technological Advancement
Things you already know but afraid to think about
Technologies of the “Fourth Wave” (the era we are currently living in) are being harnessed to monitor and sway society into compliance. Advanced cell phone technology is in everyone’s pocket, social media is only one click away. Virtual Reality (VR) is expected to slowly replace real life (RL) and further isolate and control human beings. See the movie “Ready Player One” for a glimpse of what that dystopian future looks like, a future where everyone owns nothing but is happy. Friendships and families are to be forged in VR not in RL. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been successfully used for face recognition and for spying on people. AI influencers in social media will soon be swaying people towards a preferred agenda. Just like texting has made eloquence, articulation, and erudition obsolete, AI chat bots will make everyone homogenously ignorant. When fully deployed by universities and businesses, AI has the capability to replace a large portion of the human workforce. There will be no retraining or repurposing our way out of this technological advancement. It will take time, and it will go slowly at first, but the end game is inevitable. Any allusion that AI will create jobs or people will be able to retrain themselves to do other things is a lie. AI will never become sentient, that is a philosophical and scientific impossibility which would take too long to defend here, but it will become intelligent someday soon, and that is scary enough. AI coupled with existing Expert Systems, and Work Flow Systems can already replace quite a bit of the workforce.
The ‘smart city’ concept is being pushed to place more surveillance equipment (cameras, Lidar, gauges, sensors, etc.) out in the streets, university campuses, parks, and eventually in all autonomous electric vehicles (all in the name of safety). This is the answer to a problem no one asked for. It will be sold as ‘added security’ and ‘lifesaving technology’. Everyone will be forced to have a Global Digital ID in their digital wallet, which will be used by the AI(s) to keep track of everyone. Coupled with some kind of social credit score mechanism, such as Environmental, Social, and Governance standards or ESGs, it can eventually be used to contain and control people. Big data collected on everyone would show what you did, where you went, who you talked to, what you bought, what vaccines you took (or haven’t taken). If you do something that is not liked by the state, your credit score goes down, affecting your ability to get loans, travel, or get entrance to certain places. This is currently used very effectively in China.
Virtual reconstruction of dead people is being touted as a wonderful thing. However, reconstruction of live people for nefarious ends can devastate lives. It’s easily foreseeable that in order to slander or ruin certain people, situations are created, and conversations exchanged that seem very real but have never taken place. This phenomenon already has a name: “deep fake”, as AI is already capable of “faking” interviews, pictures, and videos of things that have never happened. AI is being used to aid extorsion of innocent people by faking a kidnapping of someone and using a ‘deep fake’ of the victim’s voice. AI influencers on social media, AI avatars (“friends”) also on social media or other apps are popping up everywhere adding to young people’s addiction to the screen and increasing the obliviousness to the RL around them. Loneliness and mental illness among teenagers is on the rise. Grok (X’s new AI) now has “spicy” mode that explores new ‘soft porn’ fantasy content, even of real people (Taylor Swift anyone?).
It’s worth noting here that what most people refer to AI now, in articles and ads is not real AI, but brute force cloud processing and memory storage that mimics AI. Speaking of ‘the cloud’, it’s very convenient that the owners of the super server farms known as ‘the cloud’ have a certain monopoly in that they can de-platform any digital content they don’t agree with or does not conform to their liberal agenda. Elon Musk has admitted that the world will eventually be controlled by whomever has the best AI. The only thing slowing down AI development right now is power consumption. AI requires lots of it, and the current grid does not support much more.
Advancements in biomechanics coupled with AI are starting to make inroads into the transhumanist agenda. Transhumanism will happen slowly at first, as technology will be touted as beneficial to the handicapped community. Eventually these types of technological enhancements will find themselves inside healthy people. It is no secret that the future of the internet is touted as Neuralink (a brain to computer interface), a chip implanted in your brain to keep you connected to the internet 24/7. Although they are currently working on these technologies, the wide adoption is expected to usher in the “Fifth Wave” of technological advancement. It’s worthwhile to mention that DARPA and the Pentagon are heavily invested in these technologies. Nothing to fear here, right?
People’s productivity replaced by AI, their insignificant lives monitored by AI via Global Digital ID, every aspect controlled by the tech overlords. Is it any wonder that the ‘elites’ want to cull the earth’s population down to a more manageable number? I’ll leave the how to all you conspiracy theorists out there.
